As of the 2020 Census, Latinos account for 15.1% of Utah's population. While Democrats only hold 6 seats in the Utah State Senate and 14 seats in the Utah State House of Representatives, we have 4 Latinas in the Utah State Legislature (1 senator, 3 representatives).

Caucus Leadership

The Utah State Hispanic Democratic Caucus (USHDC) was formed by Democratic Party Delegates seeking to recruit and support Latinx Democrats to run for political offices and party leadership. Our current leadership team:

The Executive Committee will meet periodically and plan our Caucus efforts for the 2026 election cycle.

For several years, the Utah State Hispanic Democratic Caucus has hosted a fundraiser for our Hispanic Democratic candidates.
